With heavy rain in the morning, this race was looking like a non-starter. But as we approached the starting time, the rain stopped. So as the race started the track was still very wet producing lots of muddy water, which soon became thick mud, coating all the mowers and drivers. This did keep the speeds down as it was more of a challenged to stay on the track itself and facing the right direction, but a good day of racing was had by all.
er..... yyyyyyeeeeech! =P

Actually, Barry, come to think of it... this summer, my boys both learned how to use/drive the little tractor/mower and it resembled something like this. I would look out the window and my hair would stand on end - they were going so fast and it's not exactly flat ground, either. and, this - your images - would come to mind. I just remembered that. Good times - growing up! =]
ReplyDeleteThis was a rather muddy race, it should not had really started, but we were so far behind with cancelled races throughout the so called summer, that everyone agreed to carry on regardless.
