Box Stone Mine

We visited Box Stone Mine today, this is a vast complex of tunnels where you can easily get lost, good job we had a good guide with us today. As you can see from the photos, there are a lot of old mining artefacts still left in place.

The Old Workshop

I visited Big Pit mining museum today in order to view the 2013 PAGB photo salon, which is well worth viewing with a very wide range of high quality photography.  Anyway whilst I was there, I managed to take a few shots, here is one from the old workshop which I was quite pleased with, plus one showing the pit head gear.

Barons Cross Lawnmower Race

This was the final round of the WMLMRA and was held a The Barons Cross pub in Leominster.

Africa

This autumn we travel overland from South Africa, to Namibia , then Botswana and finally ending up in Zimbabwe. As you could imagine we seen a lot of wildlife throughout our trip, here is just a small example.

Brecon Fringe

Again this was yet another very well attended event with good weather and lots of free music being played at many venues around the Brecon area. I managed to capture quite a few images over this weekend, here are just a few.

The Bridge Lawnmower Race

As you can see from the photos this was a very damp race, but made for a interesting day of racing. The event was held over 4 hours and the winning team would be the one that completed the most laps.

The Severn Bridge

This evening we took a drive down to the Severn Bridge to try and capture the bridge with the sun setting in the background, but the clouds started to build up quickly and the sun was no more, anyway this still give me a few more images before the rain started.
